As a hospitalist with Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Kentucky, Dr. Abhishek Kapila builds on diverse experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He has held hospitalist positions at Norton Audubon Hospital, Norton Suburban Hospital, and Flaget Memorial Hospital. Dr. Abhishek Kapila also has cared for patients at such facilities as the Mountain Home VA Medical Center and the outpatient East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Physicians & Associates.
Dr. Abhishek Kapila completed his residency through the James H. Quillen College of Medicine at ETSU. Named lead resident during his 2015-2016 internal medicine residency, he also received an award of appreciation for his service as an ETSU Internal Medicine Ambassador. He balanced this service with patient care and training of medical students, the latter of which led to his receipt of the Best Resident honor for excellence in teaching.
Also a former intern with the James. H. Quillen College of Medicine, Dr. Abhishek Kapila received his medical degree from Kasturba Medical College at India’s Manipal University. He first studied in the United States as a visiting medical student at Case Western University and ETSU.
